DIY Hanger Branch Forager

Hello friends. I have another DIY for you! This is another simple but very unique looking toy. It is multi purpose: a place for gliders to climb and hang on and a forager!

What You’ll Need

  1. A bunch of four-inch strips of anti-pill fleece

  2. A plastic hanger (not metal)

  3. A C-link

  4. Two shot glasses (or other foraging cups)

  5. Two long pieces of craft lace

  6. Beads

Start off by cutting your strips of fleece. I used two different colors. You can use one solid color or any variety of patterns that you wish.

Once you have your fleece cut, get your hanger and tie the strips of fleece on. I didn’t do double knots as my gliders will have fun pulling the fleece pieces out. This makes it a reset toy and you can easily tie the pieces back on. Cover the whole hanger with the fleece. This is what it should look like when you are finished.

(Sorry about the picture quality. I was in a hurry.)

Next you’re going to take another strip of fleece and tie it to a c-link. Attach the c-link to the top of the hanger.

After that, tie the two pieces of craft lace to the bottom of the hanger. Add the beads. Then tie the shot glasses onto the bottom of those.

Hang up in the cage! Be sure to secure the c-link with a link-lock (or a short piece of straw) so that it doesn’t fall when the gliders play on it. 🙂
