I’m back again with another Dollar Store haul! We went a couple weeks ago and I found some awesome stuff. If you’re looking for cheap toys that you’re gliders will love, the Dollar Store is one of the best places to look.
Beads
I got a pack of beads for Christmas and used them in a couple projects. I was almost out so I was really glad to find this pack. It’s 400 beads for $1.
Straws
Oh man, you guys, do you have any idea what can be done with straws? They can be cut up and added to toy boxes, filled with treats, stuck through the bars as chew toys, and added to larger toys. I gave one to Yiska and Ilona and it was totally chewed up in the morning!
Trashcans
I was thrilled to find these mini trashcans. I’d looked all over for them but couldn’t find them for a reasonable price. When I saw them sitting on the shelf, I grabbed a couple. Gliders love them. They can be made into a hanging foraging toy [ video]
Mini Drawers
I’m not real sure what I’m going to do with this yet. LOL. I’m a little worried about the sliding drawers, so I may dismantle this completely and make it into a hanging toy. I’ll just have to see. 😉 If I don’t use it in the cage, it’ll be great for storing treats in. 🙂
Mini Containers
I’d seen these mini storage containers last time I was in the Dollar Store and didn’t get them. When I got home, I regretted not getting them. So I was happy to see that they were still there when I came back. They will be perfect for foraging toys. I’ll put a treat inside each one and then add them to the toy box.
